So Good Pupusas: A Side of Social Justice

2019 Emmy-award nominated for best Magazine Program (Nashville Chapter)

A pupusa is a traditional El Salvadorian dish that comes with an important family legacy of handing down the skills and recipe to future generations. Cecilia Polanco wanted to use her mom’s amazing skills as a cook to help others. She created a food truck called So Good Pupusas that awards scholarships to undocumented college students.
